Our Journey to Becoming a World-Class Hydraulic Cylinder Manufacturer
Located in the heart of Central Finland, in Muurame, Pematic Oy is one of Finland’s largest hydraulic cylinder manufacturers.
Our roots date back to 1967, when Jorma Nokkala established a metal workshop on the family farm in Viitasaari. The first product was a manure spreader called Lantarenki. As the spreader required a ram cylinder, the cylinder was naturally manufactured in the farm workshop.
Growth Through High-Performance Hydraulic Cylinders
In 1970, operations were relocated from Viitasaari to our current headquarters in the Muurame industrial area. Since then, our facilities have been expanded more than ten times.
Today, Pematic employs nearly 80 professionals, and our manufacturing capacity enables annual production volumes of up to 120,000 hydraulic cylinders.
Each year, we manufacture nearly 2,000 different cylinder models, with several thousand additional variations available in our design library. Our portfolio ranges from compact single-acting cylinders the size of a thumb to large double-acting telescopic cylinders with stroke lengths exceeding 10 metres, as well as sensor-equipped and stainless-steel hydraulic cylinders.

We supply customer-specific hydraulic cylinder solutions designed by our engineering team to more than one hundred customers across multiple continents.
Our products operate in agricultural machinery, forestry equipment, marine applications, industrial processes, and numerous other demanding environments. This experience provides us with extensive expertise in understanding the requirements of different operating conditions and industries.
